Our English courses in Goa offer a unique language immersion experience in a beautifully restored heritage Portuguese house, lovingly known as the “English Hub.” This community-centered setting provides much more than just language lessons—it’s a place where students live, learn, and connect in a fully English-speaking environment.
The English Hub is also a lively center for cultural activities, offering workshops and events that delve into various aspects of Indian culture. Defining Your English Level
At our school, we ensure each student is placed in the right English level for optimal learning. Here’s how the process works:
- Placement Test: Before starting the course, all students take a placement test focused on grammar, vocabulary, and listening skills.
- Interview with Instructor: Following the test, you’ll have a short interview with an instructor to assess your speaking skills and finalize your level placement.
- Customized Learning Path: Based on your test results and interview, you’ll be placed in a course level that matches your abilities—from beginner to advanced. This ensures that you’ll be both challenged and supported throughout your learning journey.
Course Levels Offered
Our English courses are organized into levels, providing a structured path for every learner:
The course covers essential grammar, including Present and Past Simple, Future forms (Will and To Be Going To), modal verbs, comparatives, superlatives, Passive Voice, and prepositions of time and place. Vocabulary topics range from everyday life (family, friends, and daily routines) to practical areas like travel, shopping, jobs, and housing. Students will also discuss hobbies, health, and lifestyle, along with weather and climate, ensuring a well-rounded foundation for real-life conversations.
This course includes advanced grammar topics such as Past and Present Perfect, Conditionals, Reported Speech, Participle Clauses, modal verbs (may, might, could), Stative Verbs, and Phrasal Verbs. Vocabulary covers a range of practical topics: education and career paths, travel and cultural differences, the impact of media and technology, environmental issues, health and medicine, and culture and entertainment. Students also explore social and domestic topics, discussing everyday challenges and interactions, providing a comprehensive basis for real-world English use.
This course introduces advanced grammar and vocabulary topics to deepen students' English skills. Key grammar includes causative forms, gerunds and infinitives, mixed conditionals, and the range of conditionals from zero to third, which are essential for expressing complex ideas and hypotheticals. Vocabulary themes are tailored to advanced discussions, covering topics like critical thinking, media and communication, art and entertainment, society’s modern challenges, and reflections on science and technology. These areas enrich students’ language use, equipping them for nuanced conversations and in-depth reflections.
Course Options: Semi-Intensive and Intensive English
Our semi-intensive course offers a balanced approach to learning English, with 15 hours (a 45 min) of classes scheduled Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This option allows students to make steady progress in their language skills while enjoying ample time to explore the local culture or pursue personal study. Mornings are dedicated to structured lessons focused on improving grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills.
For students aiming to fast-track their English proficiency, our intensive course offers 25 hours (a 45 min) of instruction per week. Lessons run Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and resume in the afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This full schedule provides an immersive experience that accelerates language development, covering all aspects of English learning with additional practice to deepen comprehension and fluency.
As part of the intensive course, afternoon sessions are dedicated to mixed-level speaking boost activities. These sessions bring together students from different proficiency levels, fostering diverse conversations that enhance fluency, listening skills, and confidence in real-world communication.
